Google Has Reinforced It’s Mobile-Friendly Ranking Signal

It’s been no secret that Google has been pushing for websites to be more mobile friendly. In March they told us that they were looking to reinforce their mobile friendly ranking Signal somtime during May (2016.)

John Mueller, the Webmaster Trends Analyst over at Google has announced today that the new stronger ranking signal is in effect from today.

If your website is already mobile friendly, you should see any impact from this rollout. However, if your website still isn’t mobile friendly, you can expect your website to have less of a chance to appear in mobile search results.

With mobile and tablet device shopping become ever-more the standard, it’s never too late to get your website up to mobile standards if it’s not already. You’ve got nothing to lose and could potentially even increase your Google search rankings.
